I created GuardOnGreen to make gardening more enjoyable for every level of gardener. Spending weekends visiting my father and seeing the time and effort he spent with daily weeding, I set out to create a growing system that would improve his gardening experience all season long. Now that my father has the GuardOnGreen system, he no longer spends long hours weeding and tending his garden. He has time to enjoy summer activities pain-free and with family and friends.

We created our 17-inch base out of highly durable materials so that it would reduce time spent weeding. Once we designed and tested the base, we recognized the benefit of a quick-locking protective cloche.  We dived into researching how to create the best possible product, reading hundreds of reviews of existing cloches on the market. Often, we found these cloches were too small, causing the plant’s leaves and branches to burn when touching the side walls during a frost. Or, the cloches were constructed of poor-quality materials, allowing them to crack, blow away, or discolor over time. That’s why we created the largest cloche on the market made from high-quality materials.

But we weren’t done yet. We needed to further protect our plants once we removed the cloche later in the season. That’s why we created the “build as you grow” trellis. It locks into the plant base using five stakes and vertical stanchions. We then added the trellis rings and vertical sections to support the plant as it grew and produced vegetables.

My father’s backyard garden flourished with his GuardOnGreen system, producing a bountiful harvest of tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and other vegetables. Each year, he uses our tools to expand his garden, all while spending time doing what he loves with the people he loves most.

Now, Tim continues to help people of all ages and abilities experience the joys of gardening without the hassle and pain through our three-part gardening system.
